This research is motivated by the low enthusiasm for learning of students in the subject of Islamic Religious Education at SMPN 1 Gunung Sindur Bogor. Therefore, this study examines the application of project-based learning methods in shaping students' enthusiasm for learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the Project-Based Learning Method in Shaping Students' Enthusiasm for Learning in Islamic Religious Education at SMPN 1 Gunung Sindur Bogor. The method used is a qualitative approach method through the results of interviews with Islamic Religious Education teachers and students of grade IX, documentation on shaping students' enthusiasm for learning, as well as data analysis with data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study obtained that Project-Based Learning in Shaping Students' Enthusiasm for Learning at SMPN 1 Gunung Sindur, namely by shaping the enthusiasm of class IX students which is carried out through the process of implementing the application of project-based learning methods in creating fun and interactive learning and the form of students' enthusiasm for learning in Islamic religious education learning fosters students' self-confidence by providing opportunities to participate actively in learning activities. Furthermore, the evaluation of the project-based learning method's implementation in fostering student learning enthusiasm in Islamic religious education at SMPN 1 Gunung Sindur Bogor fostered positive relationships between teachers and students, as well as creating a classroom environment of cooperation, mutual respect, and support. This approach is expected to foster student learning enthusiasm.
