This study examines the implementation of the Habitual Curriculum Program in shaping students’ Islamic character at MIS Hayatul Islamiyah Cinangka, Depok City. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the research explores how structured and continuous habituation activities contribute to the internalization of Islamic values among elementary school students. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with curriculum teachers, Islamic education teachers, parents, and students, as well as document analysis. An interactive data analysis model was employed, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data credibility was ensured through source and method triangulation and member checking.
The findings reveal that the Habitual Curriculum Program has been systematically implemented through religious habituation activities integrated into daily learning, extracurricular programs, and routine spiritual practices. These activities include Qur’an recitation and sholawat before lessons, congregational prayers, Dhuha Akbar prayer, Friday infaq, and extracurricular Tahfidz and Marawis. The program positively influences students’ Islamic character, particularly in terms of religiosity, discipline, responsibility, and social awareness. Teachers play a pivotal role as role models, mentors, and supervisors in strengthening the effectiveness of the program. Overall, the Habitual Curriculum Program represents a strategic model for reinforcing Islamic character education in Islamic elementary schools.
