This study was motivated by the independent curriculum policy that emphasizes the importance of developing critical thinking skills in the learning process. In Islamic Education and Ethics lessons at SMPIT Ar-Rahman Petukangan in South Jakarta, critical thinking skills are an important aspect in helping students understand, analyze, and evaluate religious values in depth. However, its implementation still faces challenges such as variations in student abilities and teacher readiness in applying the curriculum. This study aims to describe the evaluation of PAI and Budi Pekerti learning in implementing the independent curriculum to shape students' critical thinking. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Primary data were obtained from PAI and Budi Pekerti teachers and students through interviews, observations, and documentation, while secondary data came from books, journals, articles, and supporting documents. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that learning evaluation was carried out through tests, assignments, discussions, assessments, and attitude observations with an emphasis on critical thinking skills.
