Conflict of Interest

Jurnal Dakwatul Islam

Jurnal Dakwatul Islam is committed to maintaining transparency, objectivity, independence, and integrity throughout the publication process. All authors, editors, reviewers, and other parties involved in the publication process are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence, or be perceived to influence, the preparation, evaluation, and publication of scholarly manuscripts.

A conflict of interest may arise when personal, professional, financial, academic, institutional, or other relationships interfere with the impartial exercise of professional judgment.

1. Authors' Responsibilities

Authors are required to disclose any financial or non-financial relationships that could influence the research, interpretation of findings, or presentation of results. Such conflicts may include employment, consultancies, research funding, institutional affiliations, personal relationships, or other interests relevant to the submitted manuscript.

If no conflict of interest exists, authors must include the following statement in their manuscript:

"The authors declare that there is no conflict of interest regarding the publication of this article."

If a conflict of interest exists, authors must clearly describe its nature and explain any relevant circumstances in the manuscript.

2. Editors' Responsibilities

Editors must handle manuscripts fairly and objectively, without discrimination or undue influence from personal relationships, institutional affiliations, financial interests, or other competing interests.

Editors who have a conflict of interest concerning a submitted manuscript must disclose the conflict and withdraw from editorial decisions regarding that manuscript. An independent editor will be assigned to manage the review and decision-making process.

3. Reviewers' Responsibilities

Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively, confidentially, and professionally. Reviewers are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may affect their impartiality, including personal relationships with the authors, direct academic competition, institutional affiliations, or financial interests.

Reviewers who cannot provide an impartial assessment must inform the editor and decline the review or withdraw from the review process.

4. Disclosure and Management of Conflicts of Interest

All potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed as early as possible during the submission, review, and publication process. The editorial board is responsible for assessing disclosed conflicts and taking appropriate measures to ensure that the publication process remains fair, transparent, and independent.

Depending on the circumstances, appropriate measures may include reassignment of editorial responsibilities, appointment of independent reviewers, additional disclosure statements, or other actions necessary to protect the integrity of the publication process.

5. Editorial Independence

Jurnal Dakwatul Islam ensures that editorial decisions are based on the scholarly quality, originality, relevance, methodological rigor, and contribution of a manuscript to the journal's focus and scope. Decisions regarding publication must not be influenced by personal interests, financial considerations, institutional pressure, or relationships unrelated to the academic merit of the manuscript.

Through this policy, Jurnal Dakwatul Islam seeks to uphold ethical publishing practices, promote accountability, and maintain the trust of authors, reviewers, readers, and the academic community.
