Abstract

This paper aims to explore the future of the Arabic language by identifying strategic directions and transformative innovations that will shape its development in response to globalization, technological advancement, and socio-cultural change. The study employs a qualitative and conceptual approach through critical analysis of existing literature, policy documents, and contemporary practices related to Arabic language planning, education, and digital usage. Comparative insights from global language development models are also considered to frame future-oriented strategies. The findings indicate that the sustainability and global relevance of the Arabic language depend on strategic integration of technology, modernization of language education, and adaptive language policies. Innovations such as artificial intelligence, digital learning platforms, and corpus-based linguistic development are identified as key drivers of transformation. At the same time, preserving linguistic identity remains a central challenge amid rapid innovation. This research provides a conceptual framework that may guide policymakers, educators, and researchers in planning future Arabic language development. However, the study is limited by its theoretical nature and the absence of empirical data, suggesting the need for future research based on field studies and quantitative analysis. This paper offers an integrative perspective by combining strategic planning and technological innovation within the discourse on the future of the Arabic language. It contributes original value by positioning Arabic not only as a heritage language but also as a dynamic and adaptive global language of the future.
