This study examines the role of productive waqf in advancing a green economy and Islamic financial inclusion. The purpose of the research is to analyze how productive waqf can be optimized as a sharia-based social finance instrument to support environmentally sustainable development and expand access to finance for underserved communities. The study uses a qualitative descriptive method based on literature review of academic articles, policy documents, and institutional reports related to productive waqf, green waqf, CWLS/CWLD, and Islamic financial inclusion. The findings indicate that productive waqf has significant potential to finance green projects such as renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, and community empowerment. In addition, it can broaden access to Sharia-compliant financing for micro and small enterprises and vulnerable groups. The study concludes that productive waqf can serve as a strategic bridge between Islamic values, environmental sustainability, and inclusive finance. Strengthening governance, digitalization, nazhir capacity, and cross-institutional collaboration is essential to maximize its impact.
