The Digital Era 5.0 requires teachers to master information technology in the learning process, including planning, implementation, and evaluation. Based on field observations, it was found that some teachers still rely on traditional methods, lack skills in using digital devices, and face limitations in facilities and infrastructure. This research identifies four main challenges faced by PAI teachers: operating digital platforms such as PMM, designing technology-based lessons, creating interactive learning experiences, and using digital assessment tools. To overcome these challenges, teachers engage in self-directed learning, peer discussions, and participate in both online and offline training programs. The study concludes that improving teachers’ digital competence is essential to support the effectiveness of learning in the era of digital transformation. Keywords: Challenges, of PAI Teachers, Digital Era 5.0 Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tantangan yang dihadapi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam menghadapi era digital 5.0 di MA Darul Ulum Pulau Kijang, Indragiri Hilir, Riau. Era digital 5.0 menuntut guru untuk mampu menguasai teknologi informasi dalam proses pembelajaran, baik dalam aspek perencanaan, pelaksanaan, hingga evaluasi. Berdasarkan studi lapangan, ditemukan bahwa sebagian guru masih menggunakan metode tradisional, kurang terampil dalam menggunakan perangkat digital, serta menghadapi keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi empat tantangan utama yang dihadapi guru PAI, yaitu keterampilan mengoperasikan platform digital seperti Platform Merdeka Mengajar (PMM), kemampuan merancang pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang interaktif, dan penggunaan alat evaluasi digital. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, para guru melakukan berbagai upaya seperti pembelajaran mandiri, diskusi dengan rekan sejawat, dan mengikuti pelatihan baik daring maupun luring. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa peningkatan kompetensi digital guru sangat penting guna menunjang efektivitas pembelajaran di era transformasi digital. Using a qualitative approach with a multiple-case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis at two schools in Bandung City. The findings reveal significant variations in implementation strategies between the two types of schools. The Public Senior High School employed a structural-formal approach through the development of project modules and integration into curriculum instruments, while the Private Senior High School adopted a cultural-contextual approach through supplements to religious education materials and the habituation of values. This contrast highlights the context-dependent nature of policy translation, where institutional identity significantly shapes the implementation pathway. Key determinants of successful implementation included visionary leadership, teacher capacity, and support from the school ecosystem, with the main challenges being administrative burden, limited resources, and social pressures. This study concludes that the effectiveness of implementing the religious moderation policy heavily depends on ~~seach~~ each school's ability to develop strategies aligned with its institutional characteristics and socio-cultural context. The research implications emphasize the importance of flexible and differentiated policy approaches, as well as strengthening school capacity to adapt the national curriculum according to the specific conditions of each educational unit. Keywords: Merdeka Curriculum, Multiple-Case Study, Policy Implementation, Religious Moderation, Secondary Education Abstrak Studi ini menganalisis implementasi kebijakan moderasi agama dalam Kurikulum Merdeka di sekolah menengah atas, dengan fokus pada perbandingan antara Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri dan Swasta. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus multi, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen di dua sekolah di Kota Bandung. Temuan menunjukkan variasi signifikan dalam strategi implementasi antara kedua jenis sekolah. Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri menerapkan pendekatan struktural-formal melalui pengembangan modul proyek dan integrasi ke dalam instrumen kurikulum, sementara Sekolah Menengah Atas Swasta mengadopsi pendekatan kultural-kontekstual melalui penambahan materi pendidikan agama dan pembiasaan nilai-nilai. Kontras ini menyoroti sifat penerjemahan kebijakan yang tergantung konteks, di mana identitas institusional secara signifikan membentuk jalur implementasi. Faktor penentu keberhasilan implementasi meliputi kepemimpinan visioner, kapasitas guru, dan dukungan dari ekosistem sekolah, dengan tantangan utama berupa beban administratif, sumber daya terbatas, dan tekanan sosial. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa efektivitas implementasi kebijakan moderasi agama sangat bergantung pada kemampuan masing-masing sekolah untuk mengembangkan strategi yang selaras dengan karakteristik institusional dan konteks sosio-budaya mereka. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pendekatan kebijakan yang fleksibel dan terdiferensiasi, serta penguatan kapasitas sekolah untuk menyesuaikan kurikulum nasional sesuai dengan kondisi spesifik masing-masing lembaga pendidikan. The problem formulation of this study concerns the insufficient mastery of basic teaching competencies and limited instructional support, which affect the effectiveness of SKI learning. This research aims to examine the basic teaching skills of SKI teachers and the effectiveness of learning at MTs Nurul Falah Paluh, Mempura District, Siak Regency. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. The subjects included the principal, SKI teacher, and students from grades VII, VIII, and IX. The findings show that the SKI teacher has applied several basic teaching skills—such as opening lessons with prayer, providing explanations, and creating active interaction—although the learning pattern remains conventional. Learning effectiveness is reflected in students’ participation in reading, answering questions, and taking notes, as well as their enthusiasm for SKI lessons. However, effectiveness is not yet optimal due to limited use of apperception, lack of method variation, and restricted learning media. Supporting factors include the principal’s support, teacher motivation, and student enthusiasm, while inhibiting factors involve limited facilities and afternoon class schedules that reduce student concentration. Overall, SKI learning at MTs Nurul Falah Paluh is considered reasonably effective but still requires innovative strategies and improved facilities to optimize learning outcomes. Abstrak Pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (SKI) memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk karakter religius peserta didik, namun dalam praktiknya masih ditemukan permasalahan seperti keterampilan dasar mengajar guru yang belum optimal, metode yang cenderung konvensional, serta keterbatasan media pembelajaran. Rumusan permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah kurang maksimalnya kompetensi dasar mengajar guru dan dukungan pembelajaran, sehingga berdampak pada efektivitas proses pembelajaran SKI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan dasar guru SKI dan efektivitas pembelajaran di MTs Nurul Falah Paluh Kecamatan Mempura Kabupaten Siak. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala madrasah, guru SKI, serta siswa kelas VII, VIII, dan IX. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru SKI telah menerapkan beberapa keterampilan dasar mengajar seperti membuka pelajaran dengan doa, memberikan penjelasan, serta menciptakan interaksi aktif dengan siswa, meskipun pola pembelajaran masih bersifat konvensional. Efektivitas pembelajaran tampak dari partisipasi siswa dalam membaca bergiliran, menjawab pertanyaan, dan mencatat materi, serta antusiasme mereka terhadap pelajaran SKI. Namun demikian, efektivitas belum maksimal karena apersepsi kurang diterapkan, metode kurang bervariasi, dan media pembelajaran terbatas. Faktor pendukung mencakup dukungan kepala madrasah, motivasi guru, dan antusiasme siswa, sedangkan faktor penghambat meliputi keterbatasan fasilitas dan jadwal belajar pada siang hari yang menyebabkan berkurangnya konsentrasi siswa. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran SKI di MTs Nurul Falah Paluh tergolong cukup efektif, namun tetap memerlukan strategi inovatif dan peningkatan fasilitas agar hasil belajar lebih optimal. MUI itself has issued several fatwas related to environmental management, but their implementation at the mosque and community level is still limited. This article is qualitative in nature and based on library research (printed and digital data). Using this method, this article finds that the implementation of eco-friendly principles in mosques, such as waste management, renewable energy use, and greening, can strengthen the ecological message of MUI's fatwas. In addition, mosques have great potential to become centres of sustainability education and practice that can inspire the community. This article provides new insights on how MUI fatwa and Eco-Masjid concept can complement each other to create a community that is more concerned about environmental sustainability. Thus, this article not only suggests a model of fatwa implementation, but also offers a concrete solution to raise the awareness of Muslims in facing today's environmental challenges. Abstrak Artikel ini membahas peran fatwa Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) dalam membangun kesadaran ekologis umat Islam melalui implementasi Eco-Masjid, yaitu masjid yang menerapkan prinsip-prinsip ramah lingkungan untuk mendukung keberlanjutan alam. MUI sendiri telah mengeluarkan beberapa fatwa yang berkaitan dengan pengelolaan lingkungan, tapi implementasinya di tingkat masjid dan komunitas masih terbatas. Tulisan dalam artikel ini bersifat kualitatif dengan berbasis pada data kepustakaan, baik cetak maupun digital. Melalui metode tersebut, artikel ini menemukan bahwa penerapan prinsip-prinsip ramah lingkungan dalam masjid, seperti pengelolaan sampah, penggunaan energi terbarukan, dan penghijauan, dapat memperkuat pesan ekologis dari fatwa MUI. Selain itu, masjid memiliki potensi besar untuk menjadi pusat edukasi dan praktik keberlanjutan yang dapat menginspirasi masyarakat. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan baru tentang bagaimana fatwa MUI dan konsep Eco-Masjid dapat saling melengkapi untuk menciptakan komunitas yang lebih peduli terhadap keberlanjutan lingkungan. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini tidak hanya menyarankan model implementasi fatwa, tetapi juga menawarkan solusi konkret menumbuhkan kesadaran umat Islam dalam menghadapi tantangan lingkungan saat ini.
